As detailed in Jere’s email message on Monday, we’ve received the green light from National Grid and are now submitting new customer enrollments. We’re also excited to announce the compensation plan that Jere alluded to.

To show our appreciation and gratitude to our customers, we are extending the New York Guaranteed Savings Plan 7% initial discount an extra two months! That means your customers will receive a 7% discount for the first four months. This offer of compensation will apply only to those National Grid customers that were submitted for enrollment from November 7, 2008, through January 15, 2009. The savings will appear on the customer’s bill as a reduction in the gas and/or electric rate (i.e. supply portion of the bill only).

To recap, electricity customers will be switched to Ambit Energy on their meter read date beginning as early as next week, and natural gas customers will switch as early as March 1, 2009. Gas orders submitted by the middle of the month are activated on the first day of the following month.

We sincerely appreciate your efforts in New York, and look forward to providing excellent service to your customers for many years to come.

Thank you again for your patience.
